MONTPROJEKT d.o.o. Belgrade has started work on the rehabilitation and modernization of the “Cerak” heating plant system in Belgrade
The contract for the rehabilitation and modernization of the heating plant “Cerak” in Belgrade was signed on October 31, 2023. between the Public Utility Company “Beogradske Elektrane” and the consortium of companies “Energotehnika Južna Bačka”, “Montprojekt” d.o.o. Belgrade and “Feromont Engineering”.
The “Cerak” heating plant was built in 1985. . The installed capacity of the heating plant’s production plant is 232 megawatts. This heat source, in addition to heating, supplies users with thermal energy for the preparation of hot water. The project will be implemented through a trilateral agreement on the use of loan funds intended for the project “Rehabilitation of the district heating system in Serbia – phase 5”.
Construction works on the new external facilities, which are part of Montprojekt’s contract, started at the end of November, while most of the works are scheduled for completion at the end of the heating season – the beginning of May 2024. . The realization of the project is expected in October 2024. year, when the heating plant must be ready for the next heating season. This project is significant because it will provide consumers with a safer and better delivery of thermal energy, the plants will be more energy efficient and the emission of carbon dioxide will be significantly reduced. While the works are in progress, the supply of thermal energy and hot water to consumers from the heating area of the “Cerak” heating plant will not be threatened.
In its part of the contract, Montprojekt performs complete architectural and construction works on new buildings, as well as on the existing building of the heating plant, complete power installations of high and low current, as well as MRU installations (measurement, regulation, management).
