Description of performed works:
Performing works on low and extra-low voltage installations at the Ismaili Jamatkhana and Center Khorog Tajikistan facility.
The facility is located in the Pamir Mountains in the remote town of Khorog in Tajikistan. The design of the Ismaili Jamatkhana (a place of contemplation and social interaction) and the Center draws its inspiration and design vocabulary from the vernacular architecture of the area, the majestic tall poplars (Arar), its spectacular surroundings and local materials and construction techniques.
The building is conceived as a large pavilion in the garden along the “river promenade”, which already has one pavilion along its length and there are likely to be several such pavilions to be built along the river. The building, so to speak, will become the central point of the city as a large pavilion, with the city square in front. The building offers a fantastic view of the river and the mountains beyond. The Jamatkhana is also visible from the mountainous areas throughout and its strong geometry and balance will create a striking landmark for the current bland architecture of the area.
The project is seamless in its integration of architecture and interior design, indoor and outdoor spaces with the use of local materials such as stone, wood and Lapis Lazuli. The interior ceiling is inspired by the rotated squares found in Pamir houses.
Montprojekt performed complete low and extra-low voltage installtions on this building. Special emphasis is placed on interior and exterior decorative lighting, as well as the most modern multimedia systems, so that the visitors’ experience is flawless.
